1241 | | The old route 8 used to run up Ulitsa Tolstogo
along the fence of the Botanical Garden. Here the car has just passed
the corner of Tarasovskaya and is proceeding towards Universitet,
where it is going to make a left turn onto Vladimirskaya. [State Photo Archive of Ukraine, 17.03.1955] |

1242 | | Short of Sennoy Bazar (Hay Market),
Lvovskaya Ploschad-bound. A Moloko (Milk) store was
as indispensable attribute of the Soviet lifestyle. [Sergey Pirkovsky, 1970's] |
    |
1243 | | On Vladimirskaya, at the stop of routes 8 and 15
at Operny Teatr (the tram is Solomenka-bound).
Apparently the car was recently repainted from red-and-yellow into
blue-and-yellow. [Raymond De Groote, Jr., 11.07.1959] |

1245 | | Ulitsa Frunze, between the Krasin Depot
(nowadays Podol Depot) and Ploschad Frunze.
A ZIS-150 truck is also in the picture. [State Photo Archive of Ukraine, 06.1958] |
|
1246 | | A rare shot from the construction
of the speed line to Borschagovka.
The track on the right is in the process of being renovated,
causing the trams run single-track on a certain stretch
to the east of the Gnata Yury station, which is where this
picture has been taken. The train on route 17 is
bound for the Semyi Sosninykh (later Ulitsa Zodchikh) terminus. [Lukyanovka Depot Museum, 1970's] |
  |
1249 | | A few old houses are missing from this spot
today, but trams do run. Here a westbound car on route 9 is approaching
the intersection with Ul. Kosiora (Chernovola). [Aare Olander, 22.05.1981] |
  |
1250 | | Here, too, the cityscape has changed somewhat,
but the tram line has survived. Route 7 is turning from
Bulvar Lepse onto Prospekt Chubarya (Otradny).
At that time, this was all new construction, including the
tram line itself. [State Photo Archive of Ukraine, 11.1963] |

1251 | | Vladimirskaya near the intersection with Yaroslavov Val,
near Zolotye Vorota. Three MTVs follow each other: the leading one
is on route 8 towards Solomenka, the subsequent ones may be serving
routes 2 and 4, about to turn right on Yaroslavov Val,
or one of them could be the front car's mate on route 8.
In order to increase the capacity of the single-track line
to Solomenka, cars on that route used to run in (uncoupled) pairs. [State Photo Archive of Ukraine, 06.1953] |

1252 | | This picture could well be called
"Destruction in progress"... The spot is the corner of Brest-Litovsky
Prospekt and Ul. Nikolaya Shpaka. There is still a sign denoting
a switch, "straight-left", but tracks going straight (in the picture,
to the right) are no more. The train is serving route 5
"Otradny–Svyatoshin", which existed in such a configuration
for a few months in 1982, before the remaining part of the
Brest-Litovsky line was abandoned. [Anatoly Vilkovich, 1982] |
    |
1254 | | Yet another picture taken from the
Zavod Bolshevik viaduct. The newly-constructed building of the
Metro station by the same name (today Shulyavskaya)
and the Radyanska Ukraina Press building are visible. [State Photo Archive of Ukraine, 1960's] |

1256 | | At the Lukyanovka Depot, in anticipation of entering service. [Lukyanovka Depot Museum] |
  |
1257 | | Brest-Litovsky Prospekt — apparently during
the last weeks of tram service between Vozduhoflotsky Most and Zavod
Bolshevik. [Anatoly Vilkovich, 1978] |
    |
1259 | | The Borschagovka stretch of route 17 (nowadays route 1).
In the background are a standard Soviet 9-floor apartment house
and a slogan calling upon citizens to implement the decisions of the
XXV Congress of CPSU. [Hans Oerlemans, 11.09.1978] |
