15. Lvovskaya Ploschad - Kislorodnyj Zavod

In the MTV era, route 15 began at Lvovskaya Ploschad, ran down Bulvarno-Kudryavskaya (Vorovskogo) and turned right into Gogolevskaya. On this picture, car 1564 is about to turn into Bulvarno-Kudryavskaya, while its sister car runs along Gogolevskaya in the depth of an old block, where the two tracks lay near two opposite sidewalks.
[Sergey Pirkovskiy; contributed by Alexander Shanin]
After a 90-degree turn, the line went on along Pavlovskaya. Here the same 1564 goes in the opposite direction, towards Menzhinskogo (Dmitrievskaya).
[Hans Oerlemans, 11.09.1978]
1562 turns from Dmitrievskaya into Pavlovskaya, trailed by another MTV, on route 9 or 13, which will go straight on Dmitrievskaya.
[Hans Oerlemans, 11.09.1978]
Intersection of Dmitrievskaya and Poltavskaya; 1375 is Lvovskaya Ploschad bound, 1535 on route 9 goes to Podol.
[Aare Olander, 22.05.1981]
After two hills, the line crosses the way of trolleybus route 19 and follows a short private right of way (away from us)...
[Aare Olander, 22.05.1981]
... reaching Lukyanovskaya Ploschad. A Lvovskaya Ploschad bound 1250 is near the depot exit. A trolleybus loop and Belorusskaya St. are in the background.
[Wolfgang Schreiner, 09.1974]
A view in the opposite direction; 1579 is entering Parhomenko (Degtyarevskaya) St., 1374 emerges from the depot to serve the same route 15.
[Aare Olander, 27.06.1981]
The perspective of the Degtyarevskaya line, most probably, near the intersection with Dovzhenko (Teligi).

A car in the Lukyanovka Depot, which serves the route from the day of its inauguration.
[Lukyanovka Depot Museum]
The same Lukyanovka Depot. A pityful appearance of the car is no illusion. The route designation still survives, but the car will carry passengers no more. It has come here to be scrapped.

16. Kontraktovaya Ploschad - Pecherskiy Most

While the line connecting Podol and Pechersk was in existence, route 16 served both these neighborhoods. It began, as well as its subsequent shortened version, on the southern side of Kontraktovaya Ploschad. Car 1362 is about to begin boarding.
[Raymond De Groote Jr., 11.07.1959]
Two years later on the same spot. 1341 has just unloaded its passengers. In less than a year, the line will be shortened, and the cars will be replaced with double-sided KTVs.
[Wolfgang Schreiner, 06.1961]
1569 and a sister car laying over.
[Wolfgang Schreiner, 06.1961]
Upom mounting Aleksandrovskiy (Vladimirskiy) Spusk, the line crossed Ploschad Stalina (Evropeyskaya). This is at the very end of the mount, near the Philharmonic building. Soon enough, here will be the stub terminus of the cut-down 16...
[Anatoliy Vilkovich collection, 1961?]
Judging by the stop signs, there were separate stops for different routes; 1358 has already left its stop and is about to go further up, to Pechersk.
[Raymond De Groote Jr., 11.07.1959]
1377 at the same spot, descending from Pechersk, Podol-bound.

Kontraktovaya Ploschad - Geroev Dnepra
Ulitsa Sklyarenko - Geroev Dnepra

In a year after the Aleksandrovskiy Spusk line was abandoned and the old route 16 ceased to exist, the number was used for a new route to the northern part of Obolon. For a short period, it ran from Kontraktovaya Ploschad, but then was shortened to a terminus at Kurenevka. Here, car 1370 with trailer is leaving the Marshala Timoshenko stop, bound for Kurenevka.
[Hans Oerlemans, 12.09.1978]
The freshly-built line ended at the Geroev Dnepra loop (a metro station to be opened here four years later). So far, this is all but a desert... The inscription on the bumper of the lead car reads: "From 1.VIII till 31.XII an All-Union road safety inspection is conducted".
[Hans Oerlemans, 12.09.1978]
The same loop three years later. The residential area of Obolon has already gained considerable size... Next to the train 1333+1077 is a Tatra, which will soon replace the MTV on this route like on all the others.
