31.12.2007: The updated  trolleybus page now contains a complete all-time roster list as well as links to photo galleries.
16.12.2007: A minuscule photo gallery is dedicated to a type of tram that barely left its trace in Kiev, the  RVZ-6.
14.12.2007: Another new photo gallery tells about a rather exotic — as for Kiev — type of trolleybus, the  ZiU-5.
13.12.2007: A brand new photo gallery of the first imported trolleybuses in Kiev, the Skoda  8Tr, is open. Enjoy!
01.12.2007:  We are six years old!
The anniversary is marked with the completion of two galleries at once. The MTV-82 gallery has acquired its  eleventh (1541–1560) and  twelfth (1561–1582) parts, and the gallery of  M1 (that's the right name of the car model that we used to refer to as KTC) now feature a photo of the one car that was missing, 1106.
15.11.2007: The next-to-last, for now, update of the MTV-82 gallery comprises the  nihth (1501–1520) and  tenth (1521–1540) parts.
11.11.2007: The  seventh (1341–1360) and  eighth (1361–1387) parts of the MTV-82 photo gallery.
06.11.2007: In commemoration of the anniversary of liberation of Kiev from the Nazis (1943), three new pictures are added to the gallery  "Under the Germans".
03.11.2007: The  fifth (1281–1305) and  sixth (1321–1340) parts of the MTV-82 photo gallery are here.
28.10.2007: The next chunk of the new MTV-82 gallery comprises the  third (1241–1260) and  fourth (1261–1280) parts.
24.10.2007: Two new maps, from 1894 (no transportation) and from 1973 (trams).

17.01.2007: The  YuMZ E-186 gallery has been reworked and updated. New shots of trolleybuses on city streets, as well as pictures of 4807, have been added.
15.01.2007: The  third (so far, the last) part of the Pullman gallery (1056–1085).

29.12.2005: A new essay by Vyacheslav Rassypaev, The Hornies Progress. An article Seventy Years of Kiev Trolleybus (both in Russian).
31.10.2005: All parts of the MAZ gallery are updated, especially the  fifth part.
19.10.2005: The  fifth part of the MAZ gallery contains photos of 3rd Depot cars, 3701–3706. Other parts are also updated, esp.  Part 4 (2701–2713).
10.09.2005: The schemes section features a unique item, a 1918 German map of Kiev (to scale and, naturally, with tram lines!).
01.09.2005: A continuation of the historic series is the new photo gallery  "Under the Germans", featuring tram- and not only tram-related photos from the period of German occupation of Kiev, 1941–1943. The  Photo Galleries section has been modified and reordered somewhat.
25.08.2005: An article From horse tram to electric tram... and back again? (Russian only).
21.08.2005: Photo excursions along Kiev routes start here. The first two photo galleries are dedicated to trolleybus routes  23 and  41. There are only present-day pictures as of now, but historic photos will be added in the future.
19.08.2005: The  fourth part of the MAZ gallery (2701–2707), the last one so far.
26.07.2005: The  third part of the MAZ gallery (1721–1730); one new photo in the  first and one in the  second part.

By way of a celebration, a new Forum of Long Travel, dedicated to intercity transportation, is open.
30.09.2004: Two more schemes, from 1969 and 1997, find their place in the relevant section. A book by Vyacheslav Rassypaev Trolleybuses, my charming devils has been added to the collection of publications.
19.08.2004: The Schemes section is augmented with a 1967 scheme.
22.07.2004: A new gallery "Trolleybus Routes" is open. With this, the structure of the photo galleries has been changed somewhat. Also, an hierarchical navigation system is being put into place, which should make surfing the site much easier.

16.12.2003: A continuation of the  Kiev Cars project, presented by our site and The Photo Gallery of Trams and Trolleybuses, is the first part of the gallery of  KTP-55 trailers.
07.12.2003: A new section on HISTORY is open, and a database on Kiev Transportation History is inaugurated. The old "Publications" and "Documents" sections are united into single one; the structure of subsections is somewhat revised.
26.10.2003: The ninth and final,  miscellaneous part of the KTV-55-2 gallery is here. Thus, the old KTV-55-2 gallery will be closed soon.
22.10.2003: The  eighth part of the KTV-55-2 gallery: route 30.
19.10.2003: The  Decline section of the KTV-55-2 gallery is open. The  sixth and  seventh parts both tell about route 8.
30.09.2003: Almost all pictures by Raymond De Groote that were previously missing, have been added to the  "July 1959" gallery. That gallery now consists of two parts.
26.08.2003: Many pictures from the Anatoliy Vilkovich collection have been added to the  MTV-82 gallery. The gallery itself has been thereby reorganized; it now consists of nine parts rather than eight.
20.08.2003: The fifth part of the KTV-55-2 gallery, completing the Maturity subsection, tells about  routes 23-30.
11.08.2003: The fourth KTV-55-2 story is wholly dedicated to  route 16, which used to run on the first Kiev tram line.
06.08.2003: Trolleybuses make a debut on our site! Just for a change, the first gallery is not dedicated to history, but to the present (and, hopefully, the future!): Presented today is the first low-floor trolleybus in Kiev,  1701.
04.08.2003: The third part of the KTV-55-2 gallery opens the subsection on  "Maturity", telling about routes 3-9.
30.07.2003: The  second part of the "Youth" section of the KTV-55-2 gallery, plus two new links.
21.06.2003: The  Kiev Cars photo gallery goes on! Our next story tells about the memorable "Push-Pulls" of Kiev, KTV-55-2. The first section of the gallery,  "Youth", is here.

09.05.2003: The last, eighth part of the MTV-82 gallery, called  "Unknown", includes pictures of cars out of service or on unidentified routes. Since all the pictures from the old MTV-82 gallery have been moved to the new one, the old one has been closed.
In the schemes section, a 1952 table of bus tariff sections has been added.
The Other cities section has been discontinued. The Denver gallery, which used to be there, is now available at  http://ymtram.mashke.org/usa/denver.
13.04.2003: A new, substantially enhanced version of the forum. Also, the recently introduced schemes section is gradually being filled with new material.
25.03.2003: The seventh part of the MTV-82 gallery tells about  routes 23-B. Also, the  links section is updated.
07.03.2003: The sixth part of the MTV-82 gallery:  routes 17-21.
25.02.2003: The fifth part of the MTV-82 gallery, with  routes 15-16.
19.02.2003: The schemes section is inaugurated, in a preliminary form.
31.01.2003: The fourth part of the MTV-82 gallery in  "Kiev Cars" includes routes 12-14. Also, a newly-discovered photo of route 6 has been added to part 2 (routes 5-8) of the same gallery.
18.01.2003: A new, vastly extended version of the essay "In Memory of Kiev Trams" has been published. This is not the final version — it is still subject to amendments.
08.01.2003: The third part of the MTV-82 gallery in  "Kiev Cars" is dedicated to routes 9-11.

07.12.2002: The second part of the MTV-82 gallery in  "Kiev Cars", featuring routes 5-8.
20.11.2002: A joint project of our site and The Photo Gallery of Trams and Trolleybuses called  "Kiev Cars". To begin with, here is a photogallery of the MTV-82 on routes 1-4.
11.10.2002: A unique item, a book from 1894 (!), "Electric Tram in Kiev", is in the Publications section.
20.09.2002: The historic gallery features a new section,  "July 1959", with pictures by Raymond De Groote. They are well worth looking at!
15.09.2002: The addition of previously missing routes (23, 25, 27, 34) completes the gallery of current routes. The latter is also augmented by some statistical data on the routes. In the Publications section, a brochure by V.F. Veklich and L.V. Zbarsky "Problems and Perspectives of Development of Tram Transit the in Ukrainian SSR" (1980) has been added.
05.09.2002: The  Dead Lines gallery has been given a new appearance, translated into English, and augmented with a section on Aleksandrovskiy Spusk about the first Russian electric tram line.

03.03.2002: The new "Books, Articles" section is open, with a unique item: the 1933 book "The Forty Years of Kiev Tram".
14.02.2002: A page dedicated to the  Kiev Museum of Electric Transportation is here.
11.02.2002: A new gallery is open, dedicated to the present: the Kiev K1 car. A speech by the Darnitsa depot director (in Ukrainian). The next today's route presented is N 7.
04.02.2002: The official schemes of all the remaining routes, 22 through 35.
28.01.2002: In the Documents section, you can now view the official schemes of tram routes 1 through 21 (as of 1992-1995). In the gallery of current routes, Nos. 8, 16, 22, 26.
19.01.2002: 15 new tickets added. In the  historic gallery, sections on "The Beginning of the Century" and "The Unforgettable Eight" are now open.
26.12.2001: A new Documents section is open with a report on the 110th anniversary of the Lukyanovka depot (in Ukrainian). The English version of the site is born.
